Anyone out there know an easy way (read: method I could do with my minimal to zero programming skills) to “rubber sheet” an image of a historic map to Google Earth? Or am I just dreaming?

We did that a lot in History and Cartography. It is very easy actually, but we were using this software called Natural Scene Designer. We got the images from the USGS site and overlayed them in the NSD. But that’s the only way I’ve ever done rubber sheeting; don’t know much about the Google API.
We used to do this with Yahoo MapMixer. But I’m now having trouble finding it–it used to be at http://maps.yahoo.com/mapmixer.
